Converter problems

Does anyone know what type of converter is in a 2011 Raptor 3912?

The converter makes weird noises sometimes and switches from battery to power on its own.

Also I can start my on board generator but it wont power up the camper.

I am offshore and need to order a new converter but don't know what type I have.

to the forum. Other members with the same model RV as you may be able to tell you what converter they have in their trailer, but there's no guarantee that is what you'll have in yours. Keystone buys components in bulk, hundreds at a time. There's a possibility that the last of the batch was put in the trailer before yours and that you have something different from the rest.

Also, most components have a manufacturer's warranty that is longer than Keystone's one year inclusive warranty. When you have time or if someone has access to your RV, you might try to find the date of sale for the RV and see if the converter may still be covered by the manufacturer. Probably that's a long shot, but if it's covered, might save you some money and heartache.

Again welcome to the forum and we're glad you joined us.

Check for a recall on the transfer switch. My Fuzion had a recall.
