slide lube?

I bought a can of liquid wrench slide lube from Wally World. I read everything on the can and didn't see if it's safe if it gets on the rubber roof? Top of slide out has a rubber roof. Also would I use it on all the 3 rubbers ( top and both sides) or just on the rubber on the sides? Thanks everyone for the help

If it has any petroleum distillates in the product, then it may be harmful to the EPDM rubber even though you are not spraying it directly on the rubber. But it will come into contact with it albeit ever so slightly. Personally, I would use Aerospace 303 Protectorant on the seals since it is safe for use on rubber roofs as well as other applications. I think that there are many members on here who also use this product with excellent results and would recommend its use for that type of application.

X2 what Festus wrote.
303 is available at CW, Walley World (although very small containers), and many RV dealers. You might also try online. Spray it on, wipe off the excess. Won't collect dirt ala Armor-All. A really great product.

I would say what you bought-liquid wrench slide lube- is to be used on the metal mechancial parts on the underside of the slide. It should not be put on the rubber seals!

That's what I was thinking, too.
