Need to replace a storage compartment lock

Didn't realize they came in multiple sizes. Have a 2012 Cougar 29REV. Are there standard sizes for outside storage compartment locks?

Do I need to replace all 3 to keep them keyed the same? (The fewer keys...the better.)

If your keys are CH751's, you'll only need to replace the broken lock.

However, I found that all the CH751 keys that I already had lying around won't open the CH751's in our Cougar. Not sure why, but that's the case. Given that fact, I think I'd order a replacement through a Keystone dealer just for consistency. You'll need to know the dimensions of your existing lock assembly before ordering.

I would also consider getting a differently keyed lock setup for your rig. The CH751 is common to most RV's which means that any RV owner can unlock your compartments. I've always advised folks that the CH751 is not a lock but a removable handle for the latch.

I recommend you switch the keyed locked to the combi-locks. I believe we got them through Amazon.com and I know you can get them through camping world and I really like them... No keys and you can set your own codes to numbers you can remember. The only down side I see is you need a flashlight to read the numbers at night but it gives you the option to lock or not lock the door too.
