Leaky shower blues

Hi all!

I'm new to this forum and would like some friendly advice...I own an '08 Cougar 310 SRX and I have a shower stall that is leaking water between the wall and the shower basin (the wall and shower pan) only when the valves are turned on. I took the access panel off behind the television and had my wife run the water. No leaks. After a short time, water begins to pool through a small opening right where the wall and shower pan meet. I tried to look up where the drain is through the left storage compartment but the hole where the drain pipe comes through is too small. Is there any other way to access that area to detect where the leak can be coming from?

Thanks...

Leak

I had a similar problem with water leaking from beneath the shower onto the floor after a shower.

I checked underneath at the drain in the basement and found no water there. I figured that the seal where the drain attaches to the pan was the culprit so I ran a bead of silicone there and it seens to have solved the problem.

If it returns I will probably remove and reseal the drain assembly. (much less hassle than trying to do a Keystone warranty claim!)

John mentioned one possible source of the leak, other causes could include:
1) a loose or faulty connection where the water lines join the faucets. You might try running cold water first to see if the leaking still happens. Next try the hot water to see if it also leaks there. If it leaks with only one of these open it could be a poor connection in one of the two lines.......OR
2) a small crack in the shower pan that is allowing water to escape. The shower pan may flex somewhat and; in so doing, has developed a tiny crack.

I'm not familiar with the layout of your unit and can't offer you any help with how to access any lines which may be running up through an interior wall.
