Heater ??

Just went out to camper a 2006 keystone sprinter to dust it off and go through it , getting ready for the camping season. And at first I fired up furnance and it was working but it wasn't getting as warm as it should exhaust was hot as always but after 15 minutes it hadn't warmed up much inside. I shut it off and started it again and the furnance wouldn't kick in. One propane tank was empty and I don't know about other one, but stove burner come on? battery's might be a little weak showing 3 outta 4 on meter. When I get around to it I will get propane filled.. but does antone have any thought's on this might be a few days before I get propane. If it is low will that effect operation???

My furnace was pretty weak, then finally wouldn’t ignite. Turned out I was just about out of propane. I’d say try a full tank. Do you have both tanks feeding the trailer at the same time, or switch one then the other?

You may want to make sure the burner tube of the heater is clear. There are some spiders that love the smell of propane that will nest in there. That or other debris can cause poor combustion or worse.

The very reason I have the little screen cups on there, as well as having siliconed screen material on all the openings in the fridge grate (from the inside of course) as well as metal on the back side of the water heater. Gotta keep the critters out. So far so good...... (knocking head on wood)

if you are not hooked up to electricity and you only have 3 out of 4 bars showing on your battery, the battery may be too low for the furnace to operate properly.

Just throwing out suggestions, check the furnace breaker or fuse? I would think if the exhaust was hot then it probably isn't clogged up and if it was, you burned out anything left in there. I would try the propane too but could also run a pressure test on the propane lines to ensure that something hasn't eaten into the rubber lines (assuming the black pipe lines are solid). Is there any safety mechanism on our furnaces that makes you wait a certain amount of time between firing it up like the A/C warns us to do? (short cycle)
