Day/Night Shades

A cord in one of my 4 cord shades has broken in my 2005 Lorado and I can't find how to remove it from under the valence to be able to repair it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for your reply. I have found some of these sites in my searching but I can't figure out how to get the shade off from under the valence. (Please excuse my spelling of the Laredo)

We've never removed the shades so I can't offer any first-hand experience, but I found this link --

Scroll about half-way down the page to *Day/Night Shade Removal Procedure*

http://www.atozwindowfashions.com/wi....htm#Question4

Further down this page there's also *Tips On Removing A Valance*

Thank you for all your help. I have bookmarked all the sites you suggested. We just may wait until after the Winter is over and we return home again to work on this project. At least we have privacy for the time being on the affected window. Who knows what problems we may run into if we start messing with it now. Thanks again.

You must remove the valence to access the screws attaching the shade to the wall. I have repaired a couple of shades on my Everest.

Valence Comes Off First..

If you look up in the valence you should see two metal brackets..two screws to come out...also on my 2007 Laredo they had screws in the bottom of the valence..check for that too...
