Another Battery Question

It looks like my dealer issued lead acid battery has come to the end of its useful life. I want to replace it with 2 gc2 6 volt golf cart batteries. Problem is, I am not getting the the numbers. The ones I'm considering have the following specs: 395 minutes at 25 amps, 105 minutes at 75 amps. The second battery is: 409 minutes at 25 amps but it is an AGM and about twice the price. I know I need 2 wired in series. My questions are : which would be a longer lasting battery and would I need to upgrade my converter?
Thanks for any information,
Rick

It sounds like you have and are looking at automotive “starter” batteries.

If you install a pair of golf cart batteries, you’ll need to get a box or boxes that fit that size battery. No change to the converter is needed but you’ll need to wire them correctly to get 12VDC.

Battery 1 negative to battery 2 positive

Positive trailer lead to battery 1 positive
Negative trailer lead to battery 2 negative.

Here's what we use. https://www.costco.com/interstate-6-...100476406.html. There are several manufacturers brands available if Costco or Sams aren't an option.
200+ amp hours. Same price as standard car batteries. Works with the converter/charger in your trailer. And, they are about the same size as your current batteries.
They have worked well for us.

I went to Tractor Supply and replaced my two with their house brand. I’ve used them before, excellent quality. Each is rated at 1050 amp hours, at $109.00 each. The last two survived 5 years of heavy use, often only recharged by solar. They supply plenty of punch, my thee slides move in and out quickly without any lag.

That must be one heck of a battery. How on earth to you carry two of those? They must be gigantic and weigh a ton. My 100ah Renology Gel batteries at $250 each are jealous….

I shouldn’t doubt a Falcon 900 pilot, but maybe a typo. Remove the last zero and you have 105ah. Just a guess

I was making a sad attempt at humor.

That Tractor Supply battery is a co-branded Interstate battery with 1050 cranking amps. The reserve capacity is actually only 140 minutes (58.3 ah). Pretty underwhelming.

Au contraire mon frère, your wit and humor was not lost in the attempt. Humor is a great way to point out an unforced error. We all need to be reminded to do better at proof reading. To make matters worse, spell check sometimes makes a bigger mess of our messes.
