We also have a dump outlet and handle that is inconveniently sited underneath our slide.
We carry a simple length of PVC in our hatch that we refer to as The Staff of Judgment. It has colored tape rings at various important distances: the proper height to mate up the hitch, the proper height to jack up the WDH jacks, the clearance needed to extend the slide, and so on. We have a screw-on attachment for it (which I've misplaced or I'd send a photo), which is a slightly wider piece of PVC with a notch in the end, and two opposing hooked wires arranged such that if you lined up the jig with a dump handle and rotated it slightly, the hooks would catch both arms of the dump handle. Using this jig, I can pull the dump handle open without crawling under the slide, and also push it closed by seating the handle in the end slot.
As far as attaching the hose itself, there's no jig for that -- that's something we have to remember to do before opening the slide. But the Staff allows us to manage the tank properly while set up, without leaving the valve open all the time.
