Been a while

I used to bake every weekend for coworkers when I was in law enforcement. Current employer also has a tow yard and auctions off impounds, etc one Wednesday a month. Shop buys lunch, and since it was one of the tow truck drivers birthday I told him I would make a dessert of his choosing:

Good looking pineapple upside down cake. The cherries add a nice touch.

I have always been in a leadership role, we always cooked for my officers and TC's. I have a certain set of holidays and special events where I make an extra meal just for dispatch and take it in. Since I do hunt a few don'nt necessarily trust my meat choices for chili, stew . . . but I always tell the truth of whats inside and share my recipe. They were surprised when I make grilled cheese that I use real mayo instead of butter, it doesn't add any taste and I also use it for meat grilling and it is the best non stick ever. There is love in sharing food.

Reminds me of after-church potlucks. My daughter is allergic to pineapple and it's by far my favorite fruit and I haven't had it in a while. Now I'm jealous...and hungry!

Same here the DW is allergic also! Looks good!
It amazes me watching these programs remodeling homes at how many of those the man does all the cooking & is so excited about the new kitchen. My son does all the cooking at their house, his wife might make an occasional dessert.
My friend next door when he married his 2nd wife, he was widower, she told him she was very good in 2 rooms, the kitchen & bedroom, he could chose which he'd prefer, he also does most all the cooking.
