Refrigerator Roof Vent Cover - Temporary Repair??
I am leaving for a weekend trip tomorrow, and we may get some light rain. I noticed last night, the roof vent cover for the refrigerator is cracked. I will replace it when I return, but won't have time to replace it before I leave.
How hot does the vent cover get? Can I just patch (temporarily) with Gorilla Tape or Awning Repair Tape? I just don't know how hot the vent cover gets.
I believe my refrigerator is an Atwood. Everything is Dometic and Atwood.
Thanks.

Good thing you noticed it before you had water damage.

Agreed. I just bought the 2014 trailer in mid August. I have been trying to go over everything, but my free time has been limited. I just finally got to check out the roof last weekend. It has still been on the 90's here, so it wasn't urgent.
I will replace the cover next week.

After last weekend trip, on Monday I noticed shower skylight had a hole from limb damage along with a cracked Refer vent. I replaced the refer vent myself for 30 bucks and 20 mins of time. Really easy. I did it from a ladder and never needed to be on roof. Skylight is a different story.

Dometic and Atwood vents are different lengths, if you get a Camco cover it will have indentations on the top for both spacing.

Thanks. I didn't have access to the RV, but I have since been able to look at the Fridge, and it is a Atwood.
