Atwood HE-0601 refrigerator randomly in check mode

Have a gently used fridge in my gently used Hideout and although it seems to work normally in forced gas mode UNTIL it randomly switches to check mode multiple times during the day. Restarting the unit on/off is the current temporary fix.

Batteries are new, and good. Propane tank is full, and switching between tanks doesn’t change the behaviour. Stove works well, as does the T propane external connection. Trailer is level, and there are no obvious issues at the back of the fridge. There is no AC connection at this campground, but the unit is known in recent days to work fine on AC only when tested last week at my home.

Restarting the fridge was required three times last night, with a couple more during the day. It appears to use all three of the ignite sequence cycles, but then works - for a random time afterwards. Anyone have experience with this sort of issue before?

Unfortunately Atwood Helium fridges were failure prone from the start. Dometic bought them out and promptly stopped any support.

You’re probably going to play heck getting any parts.

Thanks very much for getting back to me.

Any chance you might be able to give any advice into what's causing this repeated cycle of non-operation?
