Figuring Landing Gear Replacement

Im in need of replacing my landing gear on the left side again. It seems when they installed it, it was not plumb, thus Ive worn the gears out before.

But, I dont remember where I ordered it and the 2 major places I went to dont have a record. I looked on the rig and there is No Part Numbers.

How do I figure the proper replacement

I replaced mine a few years back and got them at etrailer. Make sure when you are retracting the landing gear you don't hold power on them until you hear them bottom. Thats how I stripped mine. Lesson learned.

True dat, my wife raises them while helping a lot and always forgets till they bottom out.

I guess I need to get under there and measure the length of the black tube. No part numbers anywhere to figure it out.

I stopped that risk (for myself and DW) by putting a piece of yellow reflective tape on the inner leg. I ran the landing gear up to the point where I wanted them to stop, then cleaned the inner leg, put a "half inch strip of tape" on the landing gear inner leg. Told DW that when the tape touches the outer leg, it's in the right place to stop....

Now, we just run the landing gear up and when the tape touches, "fingers off the button".....

You can do the same with the "fully extended position" by running them out, then putting tape there as well. Then, when the landing gear reaches the fully extended location, as soon as the tape starts to show, "fingers off the button".....

Remove the cap on the top of the leg. You most likely have a landing leg system manufactured by Venture Manufacturing (https://www.venturemfgco.com/rv-and-...-landing-gear/) and there will be a part number on the underside of the cap.
Give them a call as they are easy to work with.

I have two sets of marks on my inner legs. Both are done with paint pens. First is black for when I camp on a perfectly level pad and second is red when I park on my home pad and it is one set of holes off... close but I like to have my camper perfectly level when parked.
