inverted outlets quirk

Ok, so a little weird one for you electrical experts. My inverted outlets work like they should until,,,, you let it set for a couple weeks. Then the inverted outlets will not work. I can plug it in to shore power and immediately unplug the shore power and the inverted outlets work just as they should again. It's like I have to wake something up! WTH??? I have not tried using the battery disconnect and restarting the system (so to speak) that way but a quick shore power plug in and everything back to normal. Thoughts???

When you say they work? Are you saying they work with shore power or with an inverter? Or both, but then stop after a while/days?

What is the inverter installed?

Yes, they work from inverter just fine most the time. Just seems like if you let it sit for a couple weeks, you try and use them and nothing until you "wake up" (for lack of better verbiage) the inverter by a quick shore power plug in then they work fine off the inverter again. This has happened a couple times now. Yesterday again, camper had sat for 3 weeks as we couldn't use it. Went out to get it ready, wanted to plug in a little fan cuz it was hot in there, Nothing. Went and got cord out, quick plug in and immediate unplug of shore, inverter works fine. Ran the fan the entire time I was in there after that. Need to go out today and see if an overnight caused it to stop again but have only noticed it 2 times. One time is sat for 2 weeks, this time was 3.

The Xantrex Freedom inverter times-out (they call it the "Power Saver Timer") after so many hours (default is 25 hrs,) in a no load (below 50W) condition. The default time can be changed on the top control panel or the remote panel if you have one. The settings are 1 - 25 hours or OFF. See page 56 of the owners manual.

Hope this helps.

Ok so just went out to test it. Outlets work fine today. Then checked and yes. It is a xantrex freedom x. Now I just need to learn how to set that I guess. Thanks!
