Alpha Superflex TPO Roof repair

Hello, I need to replace some wood rot on my 2017 Carbon 357 roof due to a small cut in the membrane near the front AC. I have a soft spot roughly the size of a softball. However, I fully expect to have to replace a much larger area once the membrane is opened up. I originally took it to a dealer who wanted to replace the entire roof for $15K which I thought was absurd given the needed repair is in the front 3 feet of the camper.

My question is, after I peel back the membrane and replace the decking, is there an adhesive that would work to adhere the Alpha Roof material to the decking? I spoke to the manufacturer, and they recommended their 8011 adhesive which is $90 a gallon. I hate to purchase a gallon, which covers 160-200 sq ft given the repair area will likely be less than 20 square feet.

Any other helpful information would be appreciated as well.

Thank you in advance!

First off you have to get the membrane off without any decking material sticking to it…unlikely given the number of roof membranes I have personally removed.

Did Alpha say that adhesive was good to use on a previously glued membrane?

You could use this:

They told me that it could be re-glued as long as any wood that was not replaced had all remnants of previous adhesive thoroughly sanded off to expose clean wood.

I’d be just as worried about the adhesive and wood left on the membrane.
