traveling

This might be the wrong place to ask this question, but I'm sure someone will move it to the appropriate place.

Has anyone pulled a 35' 5th wheel from the very northern tip of Washington State down to Los Angles, CA using HWY 1 and HWY 101? Is is possible, is it safe, is it doable? We are pulling a 35' Montana 3121RL with a F-350 6.7 diesel 4x4 short bed.

Thanks your any help or advise anyone might have!!!!!!!

I have had friends tell me that Hwy 1 is very scenic, but not conducive to towing a trailer.

I don’t know them, but they mention trailer size.

101 is not a problem. There are 2 parts that are 2 lane through the redwoods, but it is do able. Big rigs use this route.

Highway 1 is another story, especially the northern part. I've driven it towing, take it easy and you'll get through. Beautiful!

Largest I have towed down that exact route is a 26 ft with my Ram 2500. It wasn't terrible but a lot of places on 101 in Oregon (at least 10 or so years ago) were pretty rough. They were starting construction on a bunch of them though so hopefully they have the roads smoothed out by now. From what I have also seen in the news, there may be some washed out roads on 1 in CA due to the floods they recently have encountered.

That video speaks volumes. Exciting and Adventurous it is indeed.
There's no way my wife would travel that, being the white knuckle passenger she is.
