UPDATE: I was able to solve this issue by removing the Dometic 300 toilet and installing a Dometic 310. Seems my repaired 300 was still having leaking issues. For some reason I could not smell it much in the bathroom but more in the kitchen area, but replacing the toilet solved the smell problem. Go figure.
