Mosquitoes in my camper .
Is it possible that mosquitoes are coming in thru the ac unit in my 2018 cougar 25 res? It seems after running the ac there are more. If so any suggestions as to how to deal with them? Thought of tape the air vents closed but would appreciate any suggestions.

Your AC is a sealed unit, I would be looking elsewhere.

Mosquitoes
Possibly the slides or s from under the storage area? You kill them and they just keep coming.

I would be looking at slide seals, and maybe the furnace intake depending on where it’s located and if it’s a fifth wheel.

Have had gnats come up through an open tank dump valve. Not sure if skeeters have the same propensity. Don't leave my dump valve open anymore. Bought gnat specific bug spray as I recall and got rid of them.

Those gnats actually live in the sewer. Mosquitoes don't do that.

Check all your screens. I'm assuming if you're running the air that the windows are closed. Also check your outside vent for the range. Sometimes they don't close all the way if its unlatched or the wind opens them.

Looking at the post the other day about installing a second ac unit and the problem with a misplaced attic vent ….surprised they don’t have a screen on the attic vents. The pictures posted showed wasp nests inside the vent. I’d think if wasps could get inside your attic they could find their way to the poorly taped ac unit where the ducts attach …mosquitoes could do the same

I actually just removed the AC units off of my Montana to make way for the solar install. I was appalled by the AC ducting and tape job. No wonder why those things are so inefficient. I've been all through mine now and found so many under quality things that it blows my mind that they get the prices these go for new. I'm so glad that I bought mine used.

Is the air running? I noticed this issue when mine wasn't and I had the door open with screen door closed. Bugs coming in and found the screen door seal trim didn't meet the door trim at top of door. Good size gap that required additional foam trim and the problem was resolved. Another case of poor construction with no quality control examination.

If you get several citronella camping candles and place them around your camper, you'll never have any bugs in the camper. You do not have to light the candles, just open them. Place them several places, near each door, at window locations, like .... maybe 6 to 8 of them in your camper. After a while, you'll not have any bugs inside. You may want to spray a bug killer to initially kill everything off, or use a bug bomb fogger to get everything first. But after that, the citronella candles will keep everything out!
We leave a couple opened all the time. We don't get bugs at all. After a while, the candles loose their scent. Just simply scrape the wax a little and they get revitalized!
Mosquitoes and other flying creatures won't even attempt to come in anywhere once that odor gets permeated through all the minuscule cracks and holes.
