Dissassemble Empire pulldown kitchen faucet to clean

We are on our first little local shake-out trip of the season and the pressure (hot and cold) coming out of the Empire faucet head is pretty weak.

I had (with great difficulty) found and replaced the original when we bought this 2014 in 2020.

Empire part #CRD-SPRY-UYNN2000N.

I unscrewed the head and the pressure is great straight out of the downspout so the problem is somewhere in the sprayer head. Removed the chrome fitting that holds the filter screens and reattached the sprayer head. Pressure immediately dropped 50%. Time to take apart the whole head but I can't figure out how to disassemble it to clean it out.

Has anyone done this or should I just buy a new one?

I haven’t had much luck trying to take one apart. You might try soaking it in CLR for a couple hrs before buying a new one.

I like ZEP better.
