First camper

My husband and I just bought this 2020 keystone alpine 3701fl in may. Currently living in it but have a Ram 2500 Cummins diesel to pull it.

I want to be the first to welcome you and the first to let you know that the 3/4 ton pickup you are dragging that fiver with will come under some scrutiny by site weight police. Please be real careful as that truck is woefully overmatched from a payload standpoint in all likelyhood. Anyway once you get through the weight police hazing, there is a lot of expertise in many other areas so just ask!

Now George, do you think it's hazing to point out that pulling a 41' long fiver with a GVWR of 16,500lbs and a pin weight of 3,300 lbs. with a 3/4 ton truck is possibly towing over weight? I think it would be a terrible disservice to not bring it up.

I'll bet the salesman was very reassuring that their truck could "pull anything on the lot", just give us that $90 to $100k and hitch her up!

"that fiver will come under some scrutiny"
I believe this was the first shot over the bow...And I wholeheartedly agree that we should all take a look at it.
I might also add that most of the 'hazing' comes when the new member is trying to support towing an 18K Raptor packed full of Harleys with a 2003 2500 Cummins that can 'do it all.'

Ahhh... all that the folks need are some GOOOOOOOD airbags! Boy dontcha hate to see this situation when folks just dumped a bucket of money on a real nice camper and found out: 1. Their KeyTV probably doesn't work. 2: Their truck is a tad puny for their new beautiful camper.

When I get to be in charge, I will MAKE the stealership tell folks that their 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton or even their 1 ton ain't up to haulin the Queen Mary. They tell 'em they got a diesel and off to the races... I know these places have to make money but how many new folks who just bought their dream camper are told by folks that know what they are doing they have TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much truck?
