[QUOTE=CWtheMan;387348]These pictures were taken while traveling north from Las Angeles, CA to Las Vegas, NV on I-15.
Great memory photos CW. Have lost count of how many times we have traveled that stretch (with and without the 5vr). Now to the left as you drop down into Primm, there is an ocean of solar panels!

Jeff, we have 'been there,' but the best I could do is pry the name of the campground out of my wife. We were traveling from Sturgis to Buena Vista, Colorado and we didn't unhook. We stayed at Big Horn Mountains Campground. It was average I guess. I didn't deal with them in the office, but because we were triple-towing they did guide us to our site. It is right outside of town. So technically 'yes,' but in actuality 'no.' Damn, this got to be a long answer...

How about Carhenge, in Alliance, Nebraska? How many cars do you recognize, owned or rode in?

My first wife and I had a Vega hatch back, parents had a Valiant 2 door, I had a 54 Plymouth two door, and uncle had a jeep pickup.

When we were growing up in the Texas panhandle the "Cadillac Ranch" was very cool with recognizable Cadillacs, now it's just a bunch of junk sticking out of the ground for visitors to vandalize, can barely tell that they are cars, with the dumpster vandalized along with everything else from the parking area to the junk cars & empty spray paint cans thrown all over, don't even look that way when driving by any longer.

This is an old picture, they are not in that good of shape now.

Stayed at the Super 8 in Buffalo one night about 10 years ago. Does that count? Never saw the other stuff though.

Drove through a few times on my way to the Bighorns for fishing.
Flew in and out a couple of times doing AngelFlight trips.

The Del at Christmas - probably on the top 5 of my wife's favorite places and seasons.
We did spend a long weekend there during the Christmas season a number of years ago as a former employer's Christmas Party/end of year bonus.

Gotta love Texas. Trains roar thru Panhandle, TX at 70 mph. Fortunately you can keep up with them because the speed limit on the country road is 75 mph.

Stopped by there recently. Agree with your assessment. Not what we expected. No trash in your pic, but not what it looks like today.
