One slide will not seal at top when extended

I have a 3 slide hydraulic system the back slide when extended will not seal at the top. There is about a 3 inch gap at the top ,with the bottom flush. Any ideas out there. I forgot I have a 2017 39 ft avalanche.

You can adjust the slide “height” to change the angle it comes out/goes in at.

If the bottom hits before the top does, look at the square tubes and you should find plates bolted together at the outer end of the slide, with height adjusting bolts sticking down.

My only caution would be, measure and move both screws the same amount. Only turn them 1 or 2 turns and then tighten everything up before running the slide in and then out. Adjustments are easier with the room in the middle of travel.

Also if you have a manifold that allows you to isolate a room I would to help make the room move faster.

You will want to lower the outside end, so turn the adjustment bolts counterclockwise.

Square tubes are welded to plates. Plates are bolted to plates on the slide. Adjustment bolt sticks out the bottom.

From Lipperts service manual for hydraulic slide outs..
This should help clarify how to adjust.

I am not the sharpest but when the fella posted a pic of the jamb nut and adjustment nut, they appeared to be hard up against the bracket already. How would you be able to adjust the thing if that is the case? According to the instruction sheet, the adjustment nut has to move toward the bracket?

If he loosened jam nit then he can back off the other nut and adjust accordingly. It will solve his issue ...

But if the lower inside surface is making contact and upper s not then he will have t9 adjust the outside vertical stop adjustment bolts....one on each side

This is probably the adjustment he needs to be looking at.

So glad I stumbled onto this thread!!

I have a 2013 Keystone Alpine and the slides have never came in level. Always the bottom hits way before then the top sucks in! Thought it was normal. Mine are hydraulic

Manuals for all of the Lippert slide systems are available on their website:

Here's the manual that's for the "typically used" through frame system"

https://lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws...cd_0001614.pdf

You can access the entire Lippert manual database at their website:

https://support.lci1.com/documentation/

There's enough information available for download from the Lippert library to give most anyone enough information to "be dangerous" (or to fix their trailer)

Although the PDF you posted was for Electric slides I believe. Wonder if the adjust the same. Or maybe I need to not be lazy and look around the other link!!

The "terminal hardware" is essentially the same for both electric ram and hydraulic ram "through frame slides". So yes, adjustment is essentially the same for height. There are some differences in "ram travel adjustment" but that's not the issue as far as I can tell.

When you look around that site, you'll find lots and LOTS of manuals applicable to your RV. I've found that making a folder on my laptop and downloading them at home gives me a "ready reference source" when I'm boondocking and want to look something up. With a "laptop file folder" you don't even need an internet connection to fix most things.
