Dometic furnace soot

I've got a 2020 Alpine with the Dometic gas furnace. This is my first winter in it and it's just now started blowing a little soot out the exhaust, I've noticed last 2 mornings. I'm going to open the access and do a little looksee tomorrow and maybe something will stand out.

Whatever is causing that, there is a blockage or something causing a rich condition. Hopefully it is something easy to clear up without having to disassemble the furnace.

Start by using compressed air, use an air nozzle and blow out the exhaust port. You can use high pressure ( up to 100 PSI).

It sounds like a spider web, a dirt dauber nest or a wasp nest in the air intake. Compressed air, as Chuck suggested would be the "first attempt at home repair".

Don't use a can of computer cleaner like Dustoff. Most of them are not compressed air but are compressed combustion able gas. Check the can for a "caution flammable" warning.
