If the pump loses pressure, it's a high probability that there is a leak some where that you have not found yet.
First place I'd look is the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater. The tiniest bit of grit will cause a slow drip.
There's a check valve on the city water inlet. Same logic.
There's a one-way valve on the input side of some pumps that prevents back pressure sending water back to the fresh water tank.
Keep looking, you may yet discover a leak.
