I did call Patrick Industries but they couldn't help due to the age of it.
I might try the power switch thing for a while before deciding to upgrade.

Edit; after more searching, looks like the way to go is to find a 12v Bluray player for the hdmi, a nice BT car audio unit with sound input from the tv, and a speaker switch to make up for only 2 zones (front and rear). Upgraded speakers of course, maybe even a small dedicated woofer for some bass.

So I tried a switch today, on both side of the fuse (one at a time, of course) and it made no difference.
The irv33 is dead to me! Will just use a blue tooth speaker for now...
Double din media player will be on the shopping list.
