Greetings from Minnesota

Greetings to all fellow Keystone owners! My wife and I joined the ranks in 2016 with our purchase of a 2017 Hideout 242LHS. We’d never owned a TT or RV before and neither of us were exposed to RV camping growing up so it’s definitely been an amazing adventure. This TT is so awesome for us to start out on and I’ve really enjoyed everything about it.

The primary reason we purchased a travel trailer was for my wife to use at horse shows... but we are using the opportunity to get into “regular” TT camping as well with our kids (5 and 2 now). If we didn’t have kids (and dogs) we would have gone with a smaller TT but we picked this one hoping it will last many years for us. I store it in a heated (45F) building in the wintertime to help prolong its life.

I pull it with a 2013 F150 5.0L and an E2 Equalizer hitch (round bar) and it performs great, surely no complaints. We live in the Minneapolis area.. the furthest we’ve gone so far is Cedar Rapids, IA but we have a trip to PA planned for this July (Bradford area). I’m hoping to put tow mirrors and airbag helpers on the truck prior to that trip ... and maybe DVD players for the kids!!

Ha anyway my apologies...So much for short and sweet ;-) I’m looking forward to sharing ideas and discussion here. Thanks for the forum!

Curtis

Welcome to the forum from the Memphis area. I lived for some time at 4th and 6th, Dinkytown while going to school....long before your time of course.
And yes, even back in the 60's we still ate at Matt's Bar to have a Juicy Lucy. Where else would one go on Cedar?
