Stabilizer System
I would like to install a Eliminator Strut Stabilizer System on my 2010 Cougar High Country, 291RLS.
Anyone has one? Does it stabilize well and is installation easy.
Thanks

Or JT Strong Arms. In our case we went with the 6 point hydraulic leveling system (a little more pricey, like maybe 10 times)

Search here on steadyfast as there are already several threads with reports on installs including my own.

The Eliminator Strut Stabilizer System looks allot like JT's Strongarm.
I installed JT's Strongarm yesterday on our 5er. The installation was pretty straight forward and easy. I have not had time to do my own check on how well it stabilizes.

I just ordered and installed the JT's system.....I havent looked at the others, but my dad has had the JT's for 3-4 years and loved them, so thats where I went. Not to mention, Tweety's RV has them on right now for $299 and free shipping!

I went with the steadyfast. 110% happy with the quality and the way it works.
I like the longer length of the steady fast arms. Also JT just added a "tee" handle for tools less set up.

Just back from the fishing camp. I will install it tomorrow, and use the FW in about 10 days.
I will let you know then.

Can someone post some pics of how the Steadyfast is connected to the frame on the 291RLS? It seems to me that the coroplast is in the way to get to the frame.

When I installed the SteadyFast, one of the arms connects to the frame which is covered by the coroplast right on the edge of the belly. I drilled a couple of tiny holes in the plastic to confirm the exact location of the frame member above the coroplast. Then I drilled the pilot holes for the two 5/16" self-tapping bolts and put it together. Coroplast squeezed right down to the frame and it hasn't budged since.
I suppose I could have just cut away the coroplast where the bracket mounted. Either way, it should be fine.
If I ever need the belly pan dropped, I can either remove the SteadyFast Bracket or cut neatly around it.

I cut neatly to expose the frame. Fastened the bracket and bought a can of great stuff to fill the tiny holes in the crop last I created. Looks like new except my foam is yellow instead of grey!!
