50 amp c/b replacement

I know there have been several posts over the years about the 50 amp breaker popping constantly when operating hydraulic slides. Mine has been fussing with me for several years. Last week it started tripping with only a couple of lights on inside so it is finally time to do something about it. Since keystone has recommended upgrading to an 80 amp breaker I went that route. I have never liked the fact that that breaker powers both the hydraulic motor as well as the battery side of the power center. So I replaced the 50 amp breaker with a new 50, but I removed the wire to the pump and placed it on the new 80 amp that I added and then ran a new battery cable to that breaker. Now the two circuits are separate from each other with with their own breakers. The first picture is before, the second one after.

The ring terminals on the 80 Amp breaker look to be way oversized. I think the limited amount of surface contact they offer will become a problem in the future.

Grand Design has for years had us modify so the pump had a direct feed from the battery(s) with the 80A breaker per Lippert.

You really might wanna get the proper size terminal ends for that new breaker to the dual polarity solenoid.. You have actually induced a potential issue with overall amp draw ability due to less wire contact with the DC breaker poles..

I removed and replaced the OEM 50 amp breaker back in 2014 on my Alpine ( 3 hyd slides and 6 point hyd level up )... have never had any issues with the rest of the 12 volt system resettable breakers in nine years of use.. Nor do I expect to

Yeah, I definitely have to change those terminals. I was in a hurry when I picked them up and grabbed what they had on the shelf. I left enough slack wire so I can cut them off and replace with the right size terminals. On the up side, it is so nice being able to bring the slides in now without waiting for the circuit breaker to reset every 4 or 5 seconds.
