2011 sprinter bhd

Hello all. Sorry should have been dhs

I am looking for help on my 2011 sprinter..
My slide outs have stoped working. I do know they are a in frame with gear. Electrical.

Looking to know if the is a control module or just the switch controls the power?

The circuit brakes are new, both stoped at same time.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum

Is the battery fully charged? Are you plugged into shore power? Does everything else 12V work (lights)?

Ok. Take the switches out and test for 12V in/out of switches.

Will the power to the switch come from the 12v fuse block?

Most likely the power for the slides will come from a resettable circuit breaker near the battery(s).

I believe the sticker reads you must have battery’s hooked up to operate the slides. If your plugged into shore power without a battery connected and in good shape, the converter doesn’t have the power by itself.

Sorry for the questions.

Is there a controller for the slides?
And if not will the power wire go from the battery to the switch or a inside fuse block?

My trailer is in a place with no internet and I'm trying to get as mush info as I can before going back.

If the slides are HWH then odds are there is a controller, where that controller is located is a good question.

Seems like an odd question. You stated both breakers were replaced, are you talking about 12vdc auto resetting breakers? Did the slides stop working after you replaced them or was that in an attempt to get them to work. The breakers are directional, i.e. there is one stud that connects to the battery and the other is the load.

typically, when 2 slides stop working simultaneously the first thing to ask is "what changed" if anything? What's common between both slides? That would be the battery connections. Check that the ground is connected and that there's no interruption between the battery positive and the switch on the wall.

The auto reseting brakers were changed as a attempt to repair the slide outs.. now side note. I have owned the trailer for 2 yeas and it never had a battery untill trying to repair the slide outs. Only thing I changed is the radio I do think the slide outs worked after. I did install the b+ side of the brakers and aux the way they cam off. As the ring connectors had diffrent colors to help. I am a automotive tech. The big question is were would the control modules be if I have them? Or dose the switch feed and switch + & -.

One thing I did notice this weekend looking at it. When I remove the auto fuses I have 2 led that do not light up. To show the fuse is shorted open.

Ok. At this point you need to access the slide motors and test for voltage with the switch pressed. You may have burnt out the motors.
