Cougar Slide Pushing Carpet

I have a 2008 Cougar 276 rls. When the slide is pulled in, it pushes some carpet ahead creating a ridge in the carpet. It has gotten worse lately. Last time my wife said the carpet actually folded over the front of the slide. I have thought about raising the floor in the middle using rollers as some do. Do I need to adjust the slide? It fits well as it is. I've also read about guys using the sliders. Thanks for your help.

What type of slide mechanism? Could be the carpet is no longer attached at the edge.

You can adjust the tilt, Put the slide about 1/2 way out. Then look for the 2 long bolts that are vertical. loosen the lock nut and make sure the bolt is seated, then loosen the two bolts that hold the plates together. lower the long bolt about 1 or 2 turns and tighten everything back up.

then run the room OUT and then in. make sure the room seals both fully retracted and extended. This adjustment should bring the front edge UP and hold it there further into the rectacting.
