In Command Re-Wire

Has any one had any experience in bypassing their in-command system and setting up a hardwired board inside? Or even using jumper wires to make some components work?

After recent events (that's another thread) my entire in-command system needs to be replaced. Trying to see if I have other options, not trying to experience this issue again down the road, I also am not having a lot of luck finding people to do it.

Depending on what you want to operate, it’s not difficult just time consuming. I just finished bypassing all the controls on an older motorhome for the bedroom slide.

Is it just as simple as using a jumper wire from 12v to switch to then wire for water heater?

Yes.

Locate the circuit you want to control with a manual switch ..remove the line from the BCM for that circuits outgoing signal and connect to a switch and have the other side of the switch connected to 12 volts DC source..

Now you can manually operate that circuit..

For example.. water pump , water heater ( may need two switches ) if the water heater has both LP mode and electric 120 mode ..

Be sure that wheee you get the 12 volts DC for that circuit has a fuse on it in case of issues downstream the fuse will blow protecting the wiring, etc

For example on the in command pro version BCM

You would need two switches and a red light for LP fault indication or buy the panel that has both switches and light ..

Wire accordingly
