I know the people back in Goshen re not fans of mine so who knows where it came from.
I do know it isn’t functional any longer…..

Transfer it? That would imply it was registered to someone before . Hmmmm.

My first thought. Any remote possibility that this was a repo? If so, and you bought it as new.....

It just could have been an assumption on Star Guards part thinking you bought a trailer and it has it installed you probably bought a used trailer. Who knows. One thing is for certian, SOMEONE installed it ......

Maybe I’m naïve but…
Anything that you do to destroy the GPS will tell whoever is watching that it is no longer functioning. I would be more inclined to “redirect” those prying eyes without letting them know the unit was disabled. How about attaching it to the mailman‘s truck the next time he comes by? Just a thought.

We had a dealership in CO. Someone stole 5 high dollar motorhomes. I think the dealer might install them in all of their units in stock. If they get stolen they or the police can track them. The other option could be they try to sell them by saying they are already installed. It could be the finance manager missed that part of the close or the salesman could of missed it. The GPS companies usually pay a pretty good commission when a dealer rep sells one of these.

Perhaps less of a conspiracy, but it is possible that the dealerships in high crime areas put them on the trailers in case they are stolen and in this case forgot to take it off. The crime is so bad in Fife, WA that the Camping World there has a 7000 Volt electric fence around the whole facility
