Stability of 5er when camping

This is our second trip I noticed last evening that when walking we could feel the trailer move. You could even feel it when the dogs ran around 15 and 22 pound dogs. Front and rear stabilizers are down and put the sizzle thing on the tires. How do I get this vibration out of the camper?

The first thing is too use blocks under the jacks. The less the jacks are out the less the rig will move. You'll never get rid of all of the movement and the amount that is tolerable is subjective but you can greatly reduce the movement.

JT Strongarms solved it for us. Once installed they are very easy to use.

BAL makes a product basically the same as the Strongarms. Either one would make your rig feel a lot more stable.

It's a trailer on tires and dinky little springs it is supposed to move when you shift weight around in it.

After awhile you will not notice it or just stop worrying about it.

You think that's bad, you need to try a pop-up.

I have seen the JT Strongarm before and wasn’t sure if it was a gimmick or not. Sounds like you recommend them.

I have saw quite a few campers with looked like 3 6x6 food blocks under their front stabilizers I was just thinking that the poor peoples front stabilizers weren’t working well or something. Now I understand this makes a more stable base.

In two weeks we will be going to Paul B Johnson State Park in MS, I will give one of these two options a try

The JT Strongarms and BAL Lock Arms are basically the same thing and work the same way. I put them on my last trailer and they made an appreciable difference, weren't too hard to install either. The locking bolt for the lock arm fit the speed wrench looking tool that was in the front pass through of the trailer.

Stability of 5er when camping

I installed JT Strongarms and use the xchocks. Stability improved immensely- got the thumbs up from my wife who sleeps in longer than I do. Before the upgrades, she said it felt like sleeping in a rowboat when I was moving around the 5th wheel.
