If you're going to use "tide pods", I think the "general consensus" is to use about 1 cup of "blue Dawn" and 10 gallons of hot water in each tank, go for your ride, then flush the tanks thoroughly with hot water. DO NOT USE THE EVOO with the Dawn. Detergent is an emulsfier and will break down the EVOO, making it "useless"... Don't worry about Dawn making bubbles, they won't do the "dishwasher explosion" on you.

The black tank rinse (it's not a pressure wash) will help rinse the sidewalls and top of the black tank, but typically the spray valve won't do much other than "wet down the walls close to the spray head"... Don't expect "remarkable results and clean black tank walls" or you'll be disappointed.....

Once you have the tanks as clean as you want, then pour the EVOO into each tank to lubricate the rubber seals and plastic valve blade.

Here's a photo of the "water flow in a typical black tank spray head"...

I think everyone who has an RV has experienced "waste water behind the sewer cap" at one time or another. Most of us, after one experience, installed a "last chance valve" on the sewer terminal fitting and then put the cap on the last chance valve. That way, no "tank contents exploding onto you when you remove the cap"....

I used whatever cooking oil the DW had in the cabinet, about a 1/4 cup in each tank a couple times a year after draining & flushing, have done this for years in very rv we've owned.
Also would recommend the blue Dawn rather than the Tide pods unless you dissolved them in a bucket of hot water before putting it in the tanks to be sure they dissolved completely & not leave the pod material to gum up the valve.

I did get some spots cleaned and reapplied the dicor product

Cleaned with a wire brush on the drill, then some brake cleaner and smooth with a finger covered in spit.

Needed a break from family so I decided to go and work on my trailer kitchen today, I removed all the nasty off white discolored caulk from around the counter top, sink, wall areas. I used a standard razor blade, a overgrown fingernail until I broke it and a micro fiber cloth.

I used a clear silicone that is designed to hold in the seamless glass shower panels in a bathroom, should hold up will and keep the joint looking really nice. Nice and tight caulk job always looks better then a fat man thumb with off color caulk.

Did the bathroom vanity sink also.

Then I washed the new bedding that was on order and put the mattress together with the fancy protectors, sheets and bedspread. Need to source some pillows.

If you don't have a gas line going out from the tanks or kitchen area then you will need to add one. That will require running 1/2" black iron schedule 40 pipe with fittings (elbows, Tees, etc) and terminating with a 1/4" or 3/8" GAS quick release female coupling. All fittings (pipe thread) should be properly installed with pipe dope and tightened properly. The pipe needs to be "hung" or attached to the trailer frame. Then it needs to have each joint tested for leaks.

If any of that sounds like Greek to you then I'd advise not doing it yourself but hire an experienced gas fitter.

If by "bees screws" your talking about the QCC1 nut they can be replaced. If the tanks are original they may need to be recertified. The tanks should be stamped with a certification experation.

I priced out new tanks to carry with us if need be in the bed of the truck, $100 a tank if I remember correctly.

Despite my best efforts I can’t find any information on the search bar about this. I’ll see if anyone reads and can aid.

Looking to replace my current Anderson junk for either a b&w slider or fixed companion hitch.

I don’t know how to accurately know if I actually need the slider in my pickup, even on B&W site i couldn’t find how much the hitch actually travels on the rails to give the added length

Suggestions?

Skip worrying about the slider & get a dually!
At those weights if you've got a short bed 3500 SRW you're overloaded with 4000+ lb pin weight or at least over matched by shear size differences.

If I can find one in same make and model of what I have now I will 100% be getting one.

The truck handles the load ok, stops really well, the problem is wind blowing it around.

Iv given up on worrying about the [emoji1986] harassing me after I stopped at the port of entry a few weeks ago in my semi and asked some general questions.
I’m taking the responses as they basically don’t care what RV folks do.

But the safety factor of having a larger truck for the size of trailer is my concern.

She did well down the road getting 9ish miles a gallon, 65-70 mph and staying out of the cars way.

EGT’s stayed in range per the weight, transmission held a constant 165
All around happy with the pickup just wish it had a different hitch and another 10k capacity

Considering a 2022 duramax srw but the 10 speed folks I have talked to aren’t overly impressed and I don’t like the front end

Yup… I used to own one of those bad boys… they are stout…. I towed it with both a srw3500 and drw3500. IIRC that trailer weighed more with 4 bikes in the garage than my current Fuzion. Sorry to see your bedrail, looks familiar, except I broke the front cap on my truck box.
