Hello from S/E Louisiana

I joined the forum but don't have a camper lol. Sold our old one and waiting for a Cougar 1/2 ton 32BHS to come in at the dealer in a couple weeks. Have a deposit on it for right of first refusal and hope to buy it if we can agree on the price.

Wife and I have been looking since February for our next camper and settled on this one but they are hard to find right now. Plan to have them install a Reese Goosebox on it so I don't have to lift that heavy hitch in and out of the truck anymore. Been having a camper for about 30 years, so this will be our 6th one but our first Keystone.

Welcome aboard! Please don't try to pull that "1/2 ton" with a 1/2 ton truck. You won't like it.

Nice, that saves a lot of headache. Enjoy the ride!

Recently there was a post that almost all the RV dealers were not able to honor pricing given before just recently due to factories jacking up prices. You may want to negotiate before this becomes a reality for you. Not sure how much the prices are being jacked up but factories are overwhelmed with production, parts are hard to get and if they are selling everything they make it only means they will be looking to put both hands into the buyer's pockets.

They already told me that they went up since we looked in February. Caught between a rock and a hard place on this one as there are very few out there to choose from.

Welcome to the forum. Do a thorough PDI and check EVERYTHING before accepting. They will fix things much faster that way. If you video the orientation/PDI with your phone it will give a reference to fall back on when you start looking at something and say to yourself "now did he say to push this button or was it that one?".

Enjoy!
