Saying Hi!

New owners of a 2021 Keystone Cougar 30RLS. We will be towing with a 2004 Chevy 2500 HD 6.0L that was free from my previous employer. We are first time RVers and are looking forward to this adventure.

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the new trailer! I’d urge you to go over that truck from bow to stern and make sure it’s in tip top shape..that truck has been around a while ...found out a long time ago nothing is truly free..someone gave me a free boat once lol They gave me a a lot of work and a stack of bills to bring it up to par. ..double check your payload rating on the truck as well. A lot of good people on the forum

Thanks for the welcome and advice. It was my company truck so I kept up with the maintenance on it so I know it is still in good shape. I went through the weight spreadsheets and with a little careful planning we will be good on the load limits.

Regards

Howdy and welcome aboard!

Congratulations on the new Cougar, get out there and have some fun!

On thing you could do is to have a "camp out" in your driveway for a night or two. You will gain knowledge of how the systems work, and identify and issues that need attention.

Take care!

Congrats on your new Cougar. The only thing that might be better than towing a trailer with a brand new truck, is towing with a truck that is 100% paid for!

Hope you have a fantastic experience with your new Cougar!
