That was our 39th anniversary. First trip in a brand new trailer we picked up on the way down.
Boy I tell you I’ve lived in a geographic bubble most of my life...I never realized how much coastline Texas actually has

Look carefully at the photo... it is a hump with about 15 feet of somewhat flat on top... the drop is roughly 4 feet in front and back.

You back up the hill until your axles are on the level and try to find a place that lets the front jacks hit the ground while the tires are on level ground. Then you deal with the rear overhang as best you can..

Well it is a pretty view.. I guess with the winds and the tidal action with storms they lose some of the terrain to the gulf or the wind just rearranges it one pebble at a time ..

Actually it is bulkheaded very well and the erosion is minimal.
We've learned to cope with the idiosyncrasies of the management and until the closure from the hurricane we would spend the week between Christmas and New Year's there... well not in site 8, but at the park.
There are 4 sites that work for the last 5th wheel and of course the new smaller one, we're booked into one of those for early July.

Or my favorite... The site in my photo is listed as a 60 foot site...
Unfortunately you can't see those elevation differences in a satellite image either.
