That’s a lot for those guys and gals to handle I’m sure.
For the average person when there is an emergency at home.. no heat ..busted pipes etc. you can tell your boss I have to leave and get home to deal with the problem . For emergency workers they couldn’t leave and they couldn’t make sure they’re own family/house was protected. Hopefully they had close friends or relatives that could step in and take care of things until it slowed down.
