Humble Greetings

New owner of 2021 Keystone Raptor 413.
I move it around with a 2015 Ram 2500 heavy duty crew cab long box 6.7 diesel.

I have now found all the light switches in the Raptor.
Now I'm trying to close the kitchen outside vent. Wish me luck.

Please forgive my simple questions. I must have missed the quick start guide.

Greetings and welcome to the forum!

The outside kitchen vent cover is usually secured by two plastic latching tabs. Hold the vent cover closed, and then move the tabs over the ends of the cover.

Have fun and enjoy that new Raptor!

Wow!! Welcome to the forum - and good luck!
No questions too "simple".

An Observation from your OP (original post): Isn't the Raptor 413 a 19K trailer? Behind your 3/4 ton truck?

Welcome to the forum. The "elephant in the room" (or should I say on the back of the truck) is a 43' 19K lb. trailer on a 3/4 ton diesel. Pin weight is typically 20~25% gross weight of the trailer when loaded for use. The only way to truly know the pin weight and the truck's weight is to load everything up to go camping and visit a truck scale.

At 19K and using a middle number of 23% that's a pin weight of 4,370 lbs. That weight doesn't account for the weight of the hitch or any other additions to the truck like a tool box, tools, stuff you have in the bed of the truck or any additions to the truck. I'm not aware of any 3/4 ton diesel truck with a payload that high. Look at the yellow and white tire inflation label on the driver's door pillar for the load capacity of the truck. I'm guessing your truck is likely a good 2K over load capacity.

Not trying to rain on your parade but just an honest safety concern for your family, the folks sharing the road with you, and your investment going down the road.

Welcome to the forum. Lot's of knowledge here.
Don't take the questions about your truck personal. Folks here want to help you have a safe experience, and of course the safety of others on the road. That said, your combination doesn't sound safe.
Numbers off your truck's yellow tag will likely confirm that you are grossly overloading the truck. Dealers and their sales force are notorious for not asking about your tow truck or just casually saying you're OK.

Just a question... that payload, not to mention towing capacity has to exceed a 3500 dual wheel truck doesn't it? Just wondering...

No, I don't think so, at least most newer DRW's. I'm thinking my payload is around 5500#.

Might as well save the tips regarding the overmatched tow vehicle... OP hasn't been on since 1/16. He may be out licking his wounds. Most folks who are told they are very very unsafe on the road due to a tow vehicle not up to the job are not likely to want to face this issue after dumping a bucket of money on a new and HUGE camper.

Nah, you're right George. They'll probably be pulling into this campground somewhere near me.

I was looking at that same toy hauler and talking to a young woman that was the sales manager, she flat out told me I needed a Dully to pull that triple axle trailer.

You'll identify him readily at night. His headlights will be shining in the clouds like searchlights in London during the battle for Britain.

I would have to disagree. CW as a company doesn't try to mislead you, the "salesperson", that drove a forklift yesterday, is. Regardless of the dealership, company or any other thing, the BUYER is responsible for knowing his business; not trusting the guy at the gas pump to give him the "real scoop".

You reckon she will be taking you? You better post some pics of your new pickemup truck so folks won't think you are pulling our leg! Looking forward to it. I am too poor to buy anything under 10 years old so really enjoy seeing other folk's purchases!

Actually, the CW I deal at would not have allowed that 5er to be hitched to that truck.
