New alpine...slide sticks at top
When I put the slides in, the dinette side sticks at the top and starts coming in at a severe angle. If if go back and forth a few inches at a time, the slide will settle down with a “bang” and continue coming in normally.
It appears to be “sticking “ at the top somehow.
Ideas??
Thanks, Larry

Depending on what type of slide mechanism it is, it’s normal for the slide to tilt back as it retracts. Yours may be a bit excessive and it can be adjusted, again depending on type of slide. These adjustments aren’t for the novice, so if it’s still in warranty I would contact your selling dealer.

That slide out should be Hyd.. during its initial motion coming in the slide floor rides up and onto a wear bar that is underneath the slide ... the Darco material slides across this as slide comes 8n and last few inches as it fully closes slide levels out..
You might want to retract that slide about 4 inches or so and then use a sock and talcum powder and reach around the back edge of slide inside and wipe that interior seal...
This could be causing the top to stick and hang up...
Also do not ever use any so called slide seal conditioner. You want a sticking slide and torn seals...this will sure cause that to occur
If this doesn’t correct issue then either vertical height of slide is not adjusted correctly and/or one or both hyd gear packs has an issue and is binding

Be careful with the talcum power... the OP (Larry) might get ovarian cancer and be eligible for a huge payment via class action... saw it on the TV!

Thanks for the input...but this isn’t a normal tilt, I’ve had different slides for the last 15 years and have never seen this.
When the slide moves in...I measured the top at 7” from the wall, and the bottom at 21” from the wall...a 3 to 1 ratio isn’t even close to being a normal movement up onto the ramp.
Sigh...

That is not normal...I see maybe 2 to 4 inches tilt at most on initial motion coming in ...
With the noise you are hearing and that much differential sounds like a bracket bar on the slide has let loose or something of that nature

My selling dealer (RV TRAVELWORLD) in Roseville, CA sent a tech up here to Reno today...lots of misaligned tracks and loose bolts from the factory.
Herb (the tech) fixed everything and also took time to go over a few pointers on the Keystone In- Command system.
This is the second fifth wheel I’ve purchased from these folks.
Thanks for all of the responses and safe travels...Larry
