5er pin jack/support, NOT a stabilizer

I have some work to do on my 5ers landing gear and would like ideas and thoughts on how to support the 5er pin without connecting the 5er to my TV. Since I work slow it will take several days to complete my project and I don't want the TV tied up that long. I'm assuming a 4x4 or 6x6 post appropriately braced against sideways motion would work? Estimated pin weight is ~1900 lbs.

What work are you doing?
When I put the Correct Trak on our 5er, I build up 2X4 cribbing under the frame.

Well to support the previous post here are some pictures of our 5er totally supported by 2X4 cribbing, I took off all the wheels to make it easier to install the Correct Trak system.

I concur with the way Russ did it. You can’t be too safe. The more support the better.

I just rebuilt my landing gear and supported the front with two 2 ton floor jacks. Plenty of room to do the work and rock solid.
