Rookie RVr

Hey Folks,

We just bought our first TT, 2019 Cougar 22RBS. I've been cruising this forum for a bit, getting lots of awesome info, so I thought I'd join in. We've been long time tent campers and decided it was time to step up to something a bit more comfy. Looking forward to learning lots and creating lots of memories!

It's a nice size camper starting out on adventures. At 28 feet with T V the Lenght it will make your rig iffy for a lot of national Parks , the height is low and that helps alot. It's 1/2 ton rated 6 k lbs that will help being inexperience . Take your time do walk around have fun .

A year ago I purchased my 2018 Cougar 22RBS and love it. I live just down the road from you between Bracebridge and Port Sydney on the Muskoka River. It's my first TT and needed to be lightweight for my 2015 Ford F150 XLT to safely pull it. My first major trip was 16,000 KMs (about 10,000 miles) out to Oregon, down to LA and back through Arizona, Texas and up to Niagara Falls and home.

Glad to hear you love the trailer! We searched and compared and finally settled on this one. It's the perfect size for me to drag around with my Nissan Titan. We have already booked some short trips to Provincial parks for the summer, next year we'll do the longer treks!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new TT. You should not have any problem with a 22 foot travel trailer. They do not include hitch area which can be as much as 7’. It’s the size of the box not the total length that counts.
