2019 Premier Bullet 24RKPR

Bought it yesterday at the Grand Rapids MI RV Show.

Upgrading from a Starcraft 18QB we bought new in 2014. Great little trailer, easy to tow. I'm just too big for it. Always bumping my head on the ceiling, door, ect. Honda Pilot is my tow vehicle.

Now I'm looking for a truck tow vehicle. Leaning towards a 3/4 ton diesel. I used to tow a 7600 pound boot with a 1/2 ton. It wasn't much fun, so I'll just buy a little bigger truck for this rig, it weighs in at 7500 pounds fully loaded.

With the snow storm that came through today, camping weather seems to be a long way off. But we will be ready.

This should work out well for the two of us and our two dogs.

Regards,
Dave

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer!

I've never had a Pilot but my next door neighbor had a Pilot then a Ridgeline; I personally would not try to tow 7500 lbs. behind either of them - you're making a good decision to look for a bigger TV IMO.

I think you are also going in the right direction with a 3/4 ton. A few years ago that probably wouldn't have been my comment, but having been there, done that now, I can say with assurance it is better to have enough (or a little too much) truck than not enough. Good luck in your search. If you have questions or concerns feel free to ask - lots of good folks with lots of knowledge here.

We decided on a used F350 6.7L diesel with 41,000 miles. It's a Lariat trim level, the Mrs. really likes heated leather seats. Once we pick that up, we can make an appointment to pick up our TT.

I have someone coming over tomorrow to look at our Starcraft. That's got to go to make a hole for the 24RKPR.

Dave,

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the forum.

The DW is interested in how you like that model; she wants to move up to something with a little more interior room and has more comfortable seating (we can't call the dinette comfortable!) Your choice is something she has her eye on. Please report back after you've used it a while and let us know.

Thanks.

Ken

Welcome and congrats from a fellow Michigander. No worse feeling in the world than to buy an "expensive" new toy just to be controlled by mother nature and the calendar.

On a brighter note, you'll have many days to plan your mods! Congrats again.

Picked up our F350 a week ago. Sold the old camper yesterday.

Just waiting on decent road conditions to schedule pickup of the new TT. I won't get it if the roads are salty.

Hitfactor,

I too have a 24RKPR (2018). The newer models have some nice additions that I had to add myself such as additional 110v outlets in the living area.

Overall its been a great trailer. We have had ours since April 2017 and it works great for us (just 2 of us).

If you have any specific questions about the trailer, feel free to PM me.
