Surge protecter question.

I have a PROGRESSIVE INDUSTRIES EMS-PT50X Portable RV Surge Protector (50 A). Never really used it when traveling. After reading how important in using this, I started playing or leaning how it operates, My question: after it goes through it's initial check, the screen keeps showing the same thing over and over, which is

L-1
122
OA
L-2
122
OA
60H
E-O
Is this right?

I might add that I tested it on a 30A receptical, because that's what I have at the house and keep it plugged in all the time. Thanks

YUP, it's showing you the "diagnostic evaluation" of your incoming power.

Translated, it's:

L-1 LINE 1
122 122 VOLTS
OA 0 AMPS
L-2 LINE 2
122 122 VOLTS
OA 0 AMPS
60H 60 HZ (60 cycles per second)
E-O ERRORS NONE

Once you plug your trailer into the EMS, the 0A will change on each line to give you a reading of the amps being used on each input line.

Does the screen keep showing the same thing or does it change and start showing just the E-O ?

If I remember right it keeps showing the same thing. If you start using stuff the amps being drawn will show.

As Chuckster said, it will keep "scrolling through the entire test process" over and over. At any given time you can "monitor the entire test cycle" about every 10 seconds or so. As the voltage rises/falls, as the amperage load increases/decreases, as the frequency changes, the "monitor panel" will reflect the last status so you'll always be "up to date".
