corner water leak on slide out

Hi, I have a 2008 Springdale 267bhssr. My wife and I just for out that the inside corner storage area of slide out is wet. The wet area from the corner is about a [1' x 1' area]. This is the corner/side of the dinette area. The inside walls show no water. It seems to happen after it rains. Looking at the outside the caulking on the vertical part seems to have a few small tears maybe exposing the between walls to water. Not sure. If it needs the be caulked again, would regular silicone work? Here is the floor plan to our trailer.

Thanks

Scotty

Hi Scotty
I had a leak in the lower corner of one of my slide outs due to inadequate caulking (a tiny gap) along the lower drip edge/strip. My trailer is a 2010 model! Thankfully I caught the leak before saturating the floor. My leak may be similar to yours though, as it is a common leak location.

Check our my other posts on this forum and you can see what I did to stop the leak. Hopefully you caught it before it saturated the slide floor. In not, you may need to open things up and dry out or replace damaged wood.
Good luck.
Steve
