2010 3750FL front landing motor stopped

2010 Montana 3750FL Front Landing Gear Motor Stopped

See pix for oem motor label ID (Mamco).
Etrailer part ID # LC142178

Few questions
1. Does removing the dead motor require supporting the front of the unit.

2. Is it possible to get a new landing gear motor that is rated higher lift rating than the oem. Anyone done this, what motor, lift rating and speed compared to the oem

3. Any other comments/advise/recommendations greatly appreciated

Thanks

Mike

Did you check the in-line fuse first.

No you will not hav to support the unit prior to removing the motor.

I think it requires two bolts be removed.

Once removed you can get the part numbers off the old motor and call etrailer for ordering info and to advise about using larger motor!

Also check your switch. I jumped mine from the battery and the motor worked ...ordered a new switch OK now...

If I remember correctly that motor is the better part of $300 or more. We replaced one in a friends 5v'er a couple years ago. It was fairly easy to do it, but his RV was considerably older than yours. Be sure to follow up what was suggested earlier before parting with that money.
