Angry New Alpine 34.5 - Front Jack Motor Quit!

After purchase, the first time I tried to unhook from my truck truck, the front jack motor quit about half way up! Had to use manual crank to get high enough to unhook.

Question: Is there a fuse to the DC motor for the front jacks? (I hope!) -------- If there is, where is it?

I couldn't find the fuse next to the motor or next to the battery or next to the switch. Likewise the fuses on the converter do not seem to go to the motor (unless they're mislabeled).

I may have to take the panel apart where the switch is, to see if there's a fuse behind that panel (which would be an odd place for a fuse.) But I can trace the wires all the way then.

Any guesses would be appreciated! Thanks

On my 327RES I found a 15 amp fuse in the pink wire going to the switch. Had to pull the plastic wire wrap off to find it.

Thanks for the 2 quick replies!! It really helps. I'll check for a "hidden" fuse tomorrow.

Fuse

daldous

I also have an Alpine and the fuse is in line on mine, close to the motor, it is an orange wire and the fuse holder looks about like a black cigarette lighter, I have a 40 amp in ours.
Hope this helps.

Success!!

I finally found the 30 AMP fuse on the Pink wire as your posts suggested. It was blown as suspected. Works fine now.

Thanks for all the help!! I'll be back to this great forum.
