Traveling with a running generator (AC on).

What are the pros an cons of traveling with the Generator running?
It is really hot here in Georgia and we're going camping to a place around an hour and a half from home. I would like to run the AC while traveling, so when we get there the camper is going to be "cool" inside.
We have a Fuzion 300 TH with a Onan 4000 generator.

Thanks for you input !

With my Fuzion 403, I leave my generator running on the way to and back. Keeps the rig cool and refridge going. That said, some states have laws to not run it. However, that hasn't deterred me. I will cut it off while fueling though. Good Luck and happy pulling.

I don't have that capability in my current setup but when we had our motor home when it was HOT outside we would fire the generator up to run the AC while on the road. No problems.
