What is a FAN-Tastic Vent

I ave a 2006 Cougar which I purchased last summer. Still trying to familiarize myself with everything and do proper maintenance.

My manual says there is an "Optional" appliance called a FAN-TASTIC Vent.
I have no idea if my trailer has one because I don't even know what it looks like, or were it would be located.

Can anyone give me some information on this thing.

cheers.

Fantastic Fan is a ceiling fan/vent , normally the vents are just that .. vents with no fans ... other then in the bathroom, and that is usually a tiny 5 inch fan that is pretty noisy. Check your ceiling fans in your RV .. if its a fantastic fan it should be fan / vent combo and the fan blades are almost as big as the vent hole. may have a remote too or reverse settings to suck air out of the rv. They vary.

If you Google this item, you'll find scads of information about it - including photos, cost, etc. Camping World's catalog has a couple of pages on these types of fans and vents.

fantastic vent

I've had them in several RV's. They work very well and produce a nice breeze when you leave another window open for additional air. There is a roof vent like you probably have in the RV bathroom, but instead of a crank to open, it is electric with a fan. Usually they are controlled by a thermostat with a separate control for the fan speed. There is an optional rain sensor that closes the vent and turns off the fan in the event of rain.

Fan-Tastic

I now know that I don't have one. Something else I can cross off my to-do list. Thanks for the info.
