We love our little Cougar 5er. The walk thru was overwhelming! I tried to takes notes but my shorthand failed! We did get our salesman to comp us two nights at a nearby campground to make sure everything was OK. We only needed to go back to the store to buy levelers when we discovered how easy an RV can sink in wet ground. And only one thing we couldn't work because we missed it in the walk through (we love the remote control but only use it for the slides. The light it turned on in the front overrides the manual switch!
Anyway, you can't catch things in the walk through so start on a great relationship with your service team! We had a leaky window - you can't catch that until a few rainstorms! We started a list of all the minor things we found, emailed them to our service rep as he said he can determine what he'll need to order before we bring it in the next week, Dec 7, 2013. We planned ahead as we had another trip planned and needed a few repairs. Poor service rep didn't understand my list so just waited until we brought our rig in-well, today is February 9 and our rig is still in the shop! They did fix a few things (our roof began to pull out of the seams) but said the windows won't be in for a few weeks-so they let us have her, then took her back Jan 11. At least it's free storage as we just pay to park as you go nearby.

A word of caution for your new pickup. When we bought ours it said to drive the pickup 1000 miles before towing. Might want to check with the dealer or owners manual. Just sayin'.
Love the floor plan of your 5er. Almost bought a pull trailer with that island kitchen. Somehow money got in the way.......

Always good advice to drive your truck a bit before doing any serious towing. When I bought my new 2011 F350 diesel, the dealer said drive it at least 100 miles but more importantly vary the speed for the first little while i.e. don't drive 60mph for 3 hours. I guess you'll get different advice from different people but that's why we have these forums - to share all this information.
Like the red!
Thank you all. It is all good advice here. As much as we would like to bring it home this week we are going to wait till next week so we can put more miles on the truck. The owners manual says 1000 miles and guys at the dealer said over 500.

So do you pick ip up? I have the same 333 but I pull with a diesel not gas. So tell me what how your dealer told you how to store your recliners when you're traveling??
our recliners sit side ways facing each other. The one sits flat on the floor and the other (next to the TV) rests on an angle, on that triangle piece in the corner. There is enough room for the slide to come in. If i get a chance I will take a picture of it and post it.
