Black tank flush problem

We have a new Outback 292URL and this is the first time we had to flush the black tank. We hooked up the water hose to the outlet on the side of the RV but water came back out the connector and very little to none came out the black tank outlet. Any ideas?

Having a blast with the RV and this is really the only issue we have had since purchasing it in late 2020

There is frequently an issue where the in-line check valve is installed backwards, effectively preventing any water from passing through to the tank. The valve tends to be located up underneath the bathroom sink. Look in the bathroom base cabinet and follow the white PEX line from the exterior wall to a black plastic device (the check valve). The valve has an arrow indicating direction of flow and should also rattle if shaken. Verify the ball is free inside and that the direction of flow is correct. Some replace it with a more reliable and well-built version, some cut it out and bypass it and others never use the flush system at all. The choice is yours
